Haris Karatzas
Haris Karatzas teaches Music Technology & Music Production, at Musical Praxis Conservatory.
Harris was born in Athens in 1988. At the age of 19 he began his studies in Jazz guitar at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and continued at the Jazz Institute Berlin from where he graduated in 2012. His teachers were Kurt Rosenwinkel, Martijn Van Iterson, Greg Cohen , John Hollenbeck and many others.
He lives in Berlin where he collaborates with many distinguished musicians such as Declan Galbraith, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Joselyn B. Smith, Greg Cohen, Tom Schilling, Aly Keita, Ingrid Arthur, Violetta Zironi and many others either on stage or in the studio. As a member of various bands he has toured around the world and has appeared in some of the most important scenes in Europe.
As a music producer he has worked on many award-winning albums, EPs, singles and film soundtracks with artists such as Ethan Iverson, Daniel Santiago, Fabia Mantwill, Anna Marlene Bicking, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Declan Galbraith, Moka Efty (Babylon, Berlin) and many others.
